At Home Breedings, our mission is to place every French and English Bulldog puppy into a loving, responsible, and permanent home. As experienced, ethical breeders, we understand that welcoming a puppy into your family is a major commitment that requires thoughtful preparation and long-term dedication. Our priority is always the health, happiness, and well-being of our puppies, as well as the satisfaction and confidence of our clients.

While we carefully guide families through the adoption process to ensure the best possible match, we recognize that unexpected situations can occur. The following policy outlines our approach to exchanges and returns, designed to protect our puppies while remaining fair and supportive to our customers.

Our Commitment to Quality & Care

Every puppy from Home Breedings is raised with exceptional care, early socialization, and proper veterinary attention. French and English Bulldogs require attentive ownership due to their unique structure, temperament, and health needs. Our policies reflect our commitment to responsible breeding, ethical placement, and lifelong support for both puppies and owners.

72-Hour Exchange Option

If, within 72 hours of receiving your puppy, you determine that the puppy is not the right fit for your home or lifestyle, Home Breedings may offer a one-time exchange, at our discretion, for another available puppy of equal or lesser value.

Conditions for exchange include:

  • The puppy must be in excellent health, with no signs of neglect, injury, or illness, confirmed by a licensed veterinarian.

  • All original paperwork must be returned, including health records, vaccination details, and microchip information.

  • The buyer is responsible for all transportation costs related to returning the puppy and receiving the replacement puppy.

  • Exchanges are subject to availability and final approval by Home Breedings to ensure the best outcome for the puppy.

This exchange period allows us to rehome the puppy appropriately while helping you find a better match for your family.

Partial Refund Consideration

In rare circumstances where an exchange is not possible, a partial refund may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Refund decisions are based on several factors, including:

  • The puppy’s age, health condition, and time spent in the buyer’s care

  • Veterinary, vaccination, microchipping, and preparation expenses already incurred

  • Transportation and ongoing care costs invested in the puppy

Due to the significant resources dedicated to each puppy, full refunds are not offered. Any partial refund amount will be determined solely at the discretion of Home Breedings after a thorough evaluation.

Return Requirements

If returning a puppy is the only viable option, the following conditions must be met:

  • The puppy must be returned in the same healthy condition as when delivered, with no evidence of neglect, mistreatment, or poor care

  • All provided documentation must accompany the puppy

  • The buyer is responsible for arranging and covering the cost of safe, secure transportation that prioritizes the puppy’s comfort and well-being

Home Breedings reserves the right to refuse a return if the puppy’s condition does not meet these standards or if policy terms are not followed.

Ongoing Support & Guidance

Many concerns can be resolved with proper guidance. Before requesting a return or exchange, we strongly encourage you to contact us. We are happy to assist with:

  • House-training and behavior guidance for bulldog puppies

  • Feeding, breathing, and temperature-care recommendations

  • Adjustment tips to help your puppy settle comfortably into your home

Our goal is to help you and your puppy succeed together, and we are always available to offer advice and reassurance.

Preparing for French & English Bulldog Ownership

French and English Bulldogs are affectionate, loyal companions that typically require a 10–12 year commitment. Before purchasing, please ensure you are prepared to provide:

  • Consistent training and early socialization

  • Proper climate control and exercise suited to brachycephalic breeds

  • Routine veterinary care and monitoring for breed-specific concerns such as breathing issues, skin care, and joint health
